On 11 December, Latvenergo AS received recognition of the Advisory Board of Corporate Governance for responsible cooperation with partners and on 13 December, the Diamond rating of the Sustainability Index.

On 11 December, the Advisory Board of Corporate Governance assigned awards and recognitions in four nominations. Latvenergo AS was among three companies that received recognition in nomination Responsible cooperation with partners.

This was already the fourth time that the Latvian Sustainable Governance Award (previously – Corporate Governance Award) has been presented. The purpose of the award is to strengthen the implementation of the Latvian Corporate Governance Code and sustainability principles in business. The award not only promotes operational efficiency and long-term value growth of Latvian companies, but also provides public recognition for good practice examples. This year, 28 applications were submitted and evaluated by members of the Corporate Governance Advisory Board.

On 13 December, Latvenergo AS received the highest – Diamond rating of the Sustainability Index for the third year in a row. The Sustainability Index is a management tool developed by the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability in line with international standards to help organisations assess the sustainability of their operations and their level of corporate responsibility in 5 sections – Strategy, Market Relations, Work Environment, Environment and Local Community. This year, more than 100 Latvian companies, public institutions, municipalities and universities were assessed based on the Sustainability Index.
