Energy Museum in Andrejsala - learn about more than 80 years of history

During the autumn and winter season, the Latvenergo Group Energy Museum Collection Storages in Andrejsala invite visitors to learn about the heritage of the energy industry and more than 80 years of history.
Visitors to the heritage of the energy industry can examine the originals of the collection of glass plate photo negatives taken by the photographer and cinematographer Eduards Kraucs, keeping track of the construction process of Ķegums Power Plant, and they may also explore all kinds of electricians’ tools and accessories, and view a historic collection of household electrical appliances.
The tour programme and content for pupils can be adapted according to age or grade. You are kindly requested to electronically apply for the visit on the Latvenergo AS homepage in the section Energy Museum. Collection Storages opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (on Wednesdays and Thursdays) and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (on Fridays).
From May this year a new interactive exhibition has been inaugurated at Plavinas Hydropower Plant. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays from Tuesday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays for scheduled visits. The renewed exhibition can also be viewed on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. without prior registration.
