On 19 April, the WindWorks. Moving Energy Conference will take place – watch online

On 19 April, the Latvian Wind Energy Association, the Estonian Wind Power Association and the Embassy of Denmark in Latvia are organising the WindWorks. Moving Energy conference for the third year in a row. Latvenergo AS supports the conference for the second year and is one of the main cooperation partners. It is important for the company to directly express its views at local international events, as well as to demonstrate its ambition and readiness to implement large-scale offshore wind farm projects.

The main focus of the conference– to find solutions for the more successful and faster uptake of wind energy across the Baltics. The new geopolitical realities and transnational cooperation for an efficient European energy network will be discussed, where the regulatory framework and the creation of positive conditions for the development of the sector, as well as the establishment of transnational connections and the search for new solutions in electricity storage are crucial. The aim of the conference is to assess the experience of other countries in harnessing offshore wind and, together with experts, to outline the improvements and cooperation models needed in the Baltic states. Kaspars Cikmačs, Chief Development Officer of Latvenergo AS, will take part in a panel discussion on the prospects for hydrogen development in the context of realising the estimated potential of Latvian offshore wind.

Speakers at the conference will include industry experts, policy makers and entrepreneurs from Latvia, Estonia, Norway, the United Kingdom, Denmark and other European countries. Speakers will share their experiences and discuss the most pressing energy challenges in a global and regional context. The conference will be held in English and can also be watched online:
